Route 66

We decided to take a drive down Route 66 and found this great place called Pops!  It is a cafe/soda shop.  It is in the middle of fields of corn and looks like it's shooting up out of the earth.

We didn't get to see if but they say that the soda bottle and straw are neon lights and is a real sight to see at night.  I think my kids thought they could climb it.

We wanted to eat there but there was a line out the door.  So, the kids spent a fortune and picked out 6 different kinds of soda -- I think one of them was cotton candy  ewwwww.  They have special 6 packs with their logo printed on it (of course)!  We could no longer afford to eat dinner and had to drive home!!  Kidding but it felt that way at the register   cha ching  I mean   cha ching

It was way worth the trip and way worth the stop.  The kids still have their empty bottles sitting in their window ledges and are chomping at the bit to go back!

Heading to the big city

This summer we didn't get to go to Disney or Sea World so we settled for checking out Frontier City in Oklahoma City.  We were packing up the bags Friday night while watching the news and this is what we heard:

Frontier City closed after water tests find E. coli - more on this story at 10:00

So we hemmed and hawed and decided to go but not drink anything that wasn't sealed.

We all are glad we did!  We had a blast!

Aren't they gorgeous!

Here we are soaked after riding the Roaring Rapids.  Savannah is trying to decide what is next.  She's not exactly a thrill seeking roller coaster rider.  BUT -- Luke is!!  He'll ride ANYTHING you could strap him into.  I think he would even be okay strapped to the front of a locamotive and would taunt the engineer screaming -- Is this all you got???

Here's my gorgeous boys being silly....as usual. My little Luke looks more like my husband, Mark than Mark does - if that makes any sense. They are both sweet sensitive boys and I love them so much!
My silly hubby is pretending to cry because the "big boy" wants to be let down.
I can understand.....he's getting a little too big to cuddle but we'll never stop!!

Here we go

Here we go. Trying to be a part of the information superhighway. I doubt the day this picture was taken that my parents ever pondered the thought of it being out there where thousands...correction....millions could potentially see it. But....like it or not, that's the world we now live in.
